Author Guidelines
Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.
Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.
An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.
Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Policy
The Revista de Estudios Pedagógicos Contemporáneos acknowledges the increasing use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools in research and academic writing. To ensure transparency, scientific integrity, and author accountability, the journal establishes the following guidelines:
- Disclosure of Use
Authors must explicitly disclose any use of Generative Artificial Intelligence tools during the preparation of their manuscripts. This information should be included in a dedicated statement placed before the References section, specifying the tool used and the purpose for which it was employed.
- Author Responsibility
Authors bear full responsibility for all content submitted for publication, including any text, images, tables, figures, or other materials that have been generated, modified, or assisted by artificial intelligence tools. The use of such tools does not exempt authors from ensuring the accuracy, originality, validity, and scientific quality of the manuscript.
- Authorship
Artificial intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of a manuscript. Authorship is restricted exclusively to individuals who meet the journal’s academic and ethical criteria for scholarly contribution.
- Permitted Uses
The use of GenAI tools may be permitted for support functions such as language editing, grammar correction, translation, formatting assistance, or improving readability. However, authors are required to carefully review and validate all outputs before submission.
- Peer Review and Editorial Confidentiality
Reviewers and members of the editorial team must not upload, enter, or share manuscripts, in whole or in part, with Generative Artificial Intelligence tools that may store, retain, or reuse submitted content. This restriction is intended to protect the confidentiality and integrity of the peer-review process.
- Non-Compliance
Failure to disclose relevant use of Generative Artificial Intelligence tools, or any use that compromises academic integrity, may result in manuscript rejection, retraction, or other editorial actions deemed appropriate under the journal’s publication ethics policies.
Letters to the editor
The Letters to the Editor section of the Journal of Contemporary Pedagogical Studies is designed as a space open to academic dialogue, the exchange of ideas, and critical reflection on the content published in the journal or on topics related to the field of contemporary education. Letters are accepted that express:
1.-Informed comments on previously published articles.
2.-Brief theoretical or methodological contributions that complement debates already underway.
3.-Replies or reasoned disagreements, presented with academic respect.
4.-Critical reflections on relevant thematic lines, pedagogical approaches, or educational perspectives.
Letters must be original, have a maximum length of 1,500 words, and include the author's full name, institutional affiliation, and contact email address. If referring to a specific article in the journal, its title, author(s), and issue number must be clearly indicated.
